More information
How can a diabetes education help me?
We will work with you to help you understand how to manage your diabetes and achieve your personal diabetes related goals.
A lot of people in my family have diabetes. Is it worth seeing a diabetes educator if I don’t have diabetes? Will it help me decrease my chances of getting diabetes?
Yes. You are probably at a higher risk of getting diabetes in the future, so making lifestyle changes now will help to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. We can certainly help you achieve this.
What should I expect on my first visit?
We will ask some questions and obtain a history to understand where you are in your diabetes journey. We will listen to what you want to get out of the consultation and work together to achieve your goals
I think that my family member would benefit from this service. Can I call you on their behalf?
Yes, you can contact us on their behalf.
This service is funded by the Victorian Government.
