The NDIS early childhood approach - NDIS Partner - Ovens Murray
What is it?
The early childhood approach provides parents with information and supports should you have concerns regarding your child's development.
To do this we:
- will meet with you and your child to learn about their development and discuss what supports may be available
- will provide you with information to support your understanding of your child's development if this is appropriate
- may support you to access other services and activities in the community if these are appropriate, such as health services, playgroups, education settings etc.
- will provide you with information about the NDIS and support you to apply for access should your child be eligible and this is what you would like to do
- may offer your family Early Supports (short term intervention) if your child is younger than 6 and has developmental concerns
Who can use this service?
Children younger than 6 with a developmental delay and their families and children younger than 9 with a disability and their families, who live in the Ovens Murray region of North East Victoria.

Holstep Health to Transition Early Childhood Partner Services in North-East Victoria
Later this year, Holstep Health will cease providing National Disability Insurance Service (NDIS) early childhood partner services in north-east Victoria.
A restricted grant process is now underway to identify the new early childhood partner for the Ovens Murray service area through the NDIA.
We will continue to provide support as an early childhood partner until a new partner is confirmed, and service transition is completed.
Participants can continue to use all their support and services during this process, and their current NDIS plan will remain the same. The NDIA will work with us and the new partner to make sure there are no disruptions to partner services.
Since 2017, we have delivered the Early Childhood Partners in the community approach across the Ovens Murray region. Funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency, the early childhood approach supports children younger than 6 years with developmental delays or children younger than 9 years with disability and their families to access the right support at the right time.
A new partner will continue to deliver the service with no interruption to the families that access support.
Any enquires can be sent to Tanya Lowes at Tanya.Lowes@holstephealth.org.au
If you have any questions, you can email the NDIA at enquiries@ndis.gov.au or call the NDIA on 1800 880 110.
