Merri Health and Alfred Health organised a private guided tour of The Victorian Pride Centre for those part of Queer Crew, a group for LGBTQIA+ carers.

Justine Della Riva - CEO Victorian Pride Centre, took the carers through the incredible 4 story building that is home to several LGBTQIA+ organisations. The Victorian Pride Centre, which sits in the heart of St Kilda, is the first purpose-built centre for Australia's LGBTQIA+ communities.

Carers were able to ask Justine questions about the building and were informed of the many events and activities that the centre holds each year.

“The building itself is so unique and impressive! I am appreciative we were able to get this experience and I learnt so much.” Carer

Nicholas Colicchia who is part of Merri Health's Carer Services program organised the visit.

“I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get a private tour from the CEO! It was a nice way to hear about the conception of the building from the design phase through to how it is now servicing the community.” Nicholas Colicchia

After the tour, the carers were able to unwind over lunch at Leo’s Spaghetti bar on Fitzroy St.
