How does Smiles 4 Miles work?

Dental Health Services Victoria provides resources and support to Merri Health's Smiles 4 Miles coordinator. The coordinator visits participating kindergartens and childcare centres to educate children about healthy eating and good oral health habits to support the centre to work throughkey messages throughout the year.

There are seven award criteria to achieve a Smiles 4 Miles award. When the kindergarten or childcare centre has implemented these messages and the seven criteria, they receive a Smiles 4 Miles award.
