Holstep Health is proud to support National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June), a time to learn about the shared history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We are committed to closing the health gap between First Nations communities and non-Indigenous Australians. We also support reconciliation through initiatives that promote respect, fairness, and recognition.
National Reconciliation Week marks two important events: the 1967 referendum and the Mabo High Court decision. This year’s theme, “Bridging Now to Next,” reminds us to connect the past, present, and future as we work together for a better Australia.
You can support reconciliation in simple ways:
-
Start meetings with an Acknowledgement of Country
-
Celebrate culture by joining or hosting events
-
Learn more by subscribing to Koori Mail or watching films
"The 2025 National Reconciliation Week artwork was created by Kalkadoon woman Bree Buttenshaw, native plants − which are known for regenerating after fire and thriving through adversity − symbolise our collective strength and the possibilities of renewal. This is a time for growth, reflection, and commitment to walking together.” – Reconciliation Australia, 2025
