Do you care for someone with dementia?

These three dementia information sessions have been developed to help you understand dementia and get you in touch with supports and services that can help you in your caring role.

Session one: Introduction to dementia and services

Understand what dementia is, its causes and its impact, and learn what supports and services are available to you.

Presented by the Dementia Centre

Tuesday, 16 October 2018

Session two: Managing changed behaviours

Learn why behaviour can change when someone is living with dementia, and learn strategies to best support them.

Presented by the Dementia Centre (HammondCare)

Tuesday, 13 November 2018

Session three: Supporting meaningful engagement

It is important for all of us to be able to do things that are meaningful and give us joy. Having a diagnosis of dementia does not change this. This session will focus on how best to support people living with dementia to participate and engage in activities that are meaningful to them.
