Merri Health Carer Gateway at Melbourne Disability Expo

We engaged with carers and service providers, had people asking us about the available supports, signing up for a call back and enquiring about our magazine ‘The Caring Way’.

Our offer to invite carers to ‘Have a cuppa on us’ was also very popular. 

Our purple branding and eye-catching display wall successfully brought people to our stall to start the conversation.

One of the attendees said of Carer Gateway, “This is such a unique service and it will be really helpful”.

Another remarked, “If I had known about this before, I would have really benefited from it”.

Popular services carers were keen to learn more about included respite, in-person peer support groups and tailored support packages.

Our Carer Engagement team, Assessment and Planning Officers, Carer Services team and marketing team, including employees from our consortia partners, helped staff the stall across the two days.

The next expo we will attend is the Caring and Ageing Well Expo in February 2023.
