What is it?
Learn practical information and advice to support you and the person you care for, and connect and share your experience with other carers.
Who can use this service?
Any carer living in Moreland, Darebin, Banyule, Yarra, Nillumbik, Hume or Whittlesea.
A contribution to the cost of respite may be made, if needed. This will be discussed with the carer in advance.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can access our carer workshops and activities without a referral.
Varies – activities and workshops take place at our Preston site as well as out in the community.

Who are carers?
Carers are family members and friends who look after someone who has problems managing at home or in the community without help. Carers can be parents, partners, spouses, young people, children and friends.
Are there any opportunities for carers to meet other carers?
Yes. We have a number of events during the year that can connect carers to other carers. We also run health and wellbeing events for carers to learn techniques to cope in their caring role.

CarerLinks North is part of the Commonwealth Respite and CareLink Centres nationally and is funded by the Australian and Victorian governments.
