Your new role:

• This role is the chance to join a passionate and highly skilled team
• You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary allied health service who provide coordinated, integrated, and goal-oriented therapy to people aged 65+
• You will have access to clinical support and development by the Grade 3 Occupational Therapist and through various professional development opportunities, including opportunities to contribute to research and quality improvement activities.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing evidence-based individual assessment, and management for older adults presenting with a diverse range of geriatric and/or health conditions impacting their functional abilities.
• Working collaboratively with other disciplines to provide co-ordinated care and treatment planning, including acting as a key contact for clients as appropriate
• Providing evidence-based group and individual interventions to people living with dementia.
• Actively participating in professional development to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and technical skills and keep up to date with new developments and relevant trends.

What you will need to succeed:

• AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
•Demonstrated experience in providing high quality clinical care to older adults with cognitive and /or physical disabilities
• An interest in working with older adults and people living with dementia
• Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong organisational, planning, time management and prioritisation skills
